Grown Ups: 8 Best Places to be in Disneyland

Disneyland

Disneyland has been a staple in the lives of many people. It's one of those places that you can go back to and feel like a kid again. As an adult, it's easy to get caught up in real life and forget about your inner child. When I was younger, I didn't have much money, so I would only go when it was on sale or during the off-season; however, now that I'm older and more financially stable, I go whenever possible! Here are eight things you can do at Disneyland if you're an adult:

    California Adventure Brews and Views

If you're looking for something with less noise and crowds, head over to California Adventure Brews and Views. The beer garden is located in Hollywood Land, across from the Tower of Terror (after Monsters Inc).

The location is perfect if you want to take your time and enjoy an evening at Disneyland without all the hustle-bustle of the park. You can order some beers from the bar or bring your own; there are also plenty of places where you can sit down—in our case, it was a bench outside while we watched cars go by on Radiator Springs Racers, which made us feel like we were actually part of Cars Land!

The beer garden is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view. The best part is that you can bring your own food from anywhere in the park! While there, a few other people brought their own snacks and drinks to save some money. At about $15 for a glass of wine, it's much cheaper than buying alcohol at Disneyland.

    Sweet Treats, Anyone?

If you're looking for some sweet treats, Disneyland has plenty of options. The Dole Whip is a well-known treatment that's popular across the country. It's made from pineapple juice and soft vanilla serves and is topped with pineapple chunks. You can also get a Mickey Mouse Ice Cream Bar at Disneyland or an ice cream cone shaped like Mickey Mouse's head! If you want something more creative, try one of their many sundaes like the Candy Corn Ice Cream Sundae or the Three Little Pigs Sundae.

If you're looking for something to wash down all that ice cream, try one of the many drinks they offer. The most popular drink at Disneyland is the Dole Whip, which comes in pineapple and vanilla flavors. If you want something more traditional, there are many soda options, juices, and lemonades.

    Firework Fantasies

Fireworks Fantasies is a show that plays in Disneyland's California Adventure Park. It starts at 9:15 PM every night and lasts for about 15 to 20 minutes.

You can get an excellent view of this show from anywhere on Paradise Pier or by the Grizzly Peak area, but if you want to enjoy Fireworks Fantasies with a great view of the fireworks themselves as well as Cinderella Castle and Sleeping Beauty's Castle, then go early to Toy Story Midway Mania! so you can get a good seat on their patio bar area.

    Firework Fantasies

The show starts with the music from "Toy Story," the first movie in the series. It then transitions into the theme song for "Up." Next is a mash-up of all of your favorite Pixar movies, including "Cars," "Finding Nemo," and "Monsters Inc." The finale is a fantastic display of fireworks that light up both Cinderella Castle and Sleeping Beauty's Castle, as well as the Matterhorn mountain range.

    World of Color

As the sun sets, head to Disney California Adventure for a show unlike anything, you will see at any other theme park. World of Color is a nighttime spectacular on Paradise Bay and is an absolute must-see attraction if you're visiting Disneyland. The show combines water, light, and fire to create a fantastic display of color and movement in the nighttime sky.

In addition to being one of the most popular things to do as an adult at Disneyland, World of Color also serves as an excellent way for everyone in your family or group (or even just you) to get out into some fresh air after spending hours indoors on rides throughout the day!

    Dinner at Club 33

Club 33 is a private club that only members and their guests can dine at. It's located in New Orleans Square, with a secret entrance on the left side of the Blue Bayou Restaurant. The restaurant is not open to the public, so you may have trouble finding it if you're not looking for it.

Club 33 is relatively expensive for Disneyland dining options: about $60 per person for lunch or dinner (add $20 if you want wine). You can make reservations online or by phone; for parties larger than 8 people, it's best to call ahead of time because they only take reservations up to 30 days in advance.

If you decide to eat at Club 33, try one of their signature dishes, such as roasted duck breast or shrimp cocktail. If you're feeling adventurous, go with one of their secret menu items—you'll find them written down on paper tucked into menus around the room!

    The Disneyland Hotel

The Disneyland Hotel is a great place to stay at the resort. There are many different types of rooms available, from suites to standard rooms, but all have a great location. If you're looking for something more casual and cheaper than the Grand Californian, this is your best bet for an affordable option with great amenities.

The pool area at the Disneyland Hotel has one of my favorite views—you can see Sleeping Beauty Castle in its entirety! There's also a great restaurant on-site called Napa Rose (my favorite) and The Coffee House serving delicious pastries and coffee drinks—and who could forget about the candy shop? I love these things because they make me feel like I'm back home again in Anaheim, where I grew up attending Disneyland as often as possible with my family!

    Character Dining

Character dining is a popular activity at Disney parks, which you may not even realize exists. The concept is simple: eat at a restaurant where you can meet and interact with your favorite Disney characters.

This experience is great for kids and adults who want to enjoy the fun! You can get autographs and photos with your favorite characters, but we recommend saving these items for your scrapbook instead of spending money on overpriced merchandise.

Character dining restaurants are often located in hotels near the theme park entrances, so guests can take advantage of these experiences before or after their trip to the park. If you have time at Disneyland Resort before or after visiting any theme parks, make sure to book a character breakfast (or lunch/dinner) reservation at Carthay Circle Restaurant or Blue Bayou Restaurant—both are favorites among locals looking for good service as well as tasty food!

    Get a Makeover!

There are many ways to get a makeover while visiting Disneyland. The best choice depends on what you're looking for and how much time you have. If you want a fast and memorable experience, head to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. This store offers makeovers for young children (and their parents) that include hair styled in the style of a Disney princess or prince and makeup applications. You can even get your nails painted!

If you want something with less hoopla but still impressive results, then check out the makeup counter at one of the two luxury hotels on the property: Grand Californian Hotel & Spa or Disneyland Hotel. The counters offer free consultations about which products will work best for your skin type and desired look, along with information about how best to apply them once purchased from them (or another vendor).

If convenience is vital for your visit, then consider getting pampered at one of the several salons located throughout both parks: Salon de Coiffure Mickey et Minnie in California Adventure Park; French Groomer Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Style near Tower of Terror attractions; Beauty & Barber Shop just off Main Street the USA where guests can find trims as well as full haircuts if requested by management staff members."
